Nandini Ghee Price Hike: Check New Pack Rates
Bengaluru consumers will have to pay more for several Nandini dairy products, including ghee, butter, and paneer, as the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) has revised prices upwards across urban and rural distribution points.
The latest revision follows KMF's operational review of procurement costs and milk powder storage dynamics. Nandini ghee prices have seen a significant increase across sachets, jars, and bulk commercial containers.
A 200 ml ghee sachet is now priced at ₹95, up by ₹10 from ₹85, while the 500 ml consumer pack costs ₹425, rising from ₹395. The one-litre pack now commands ₹840, up from ₹790. Bulk commercial buyers will pay ₹12,600 for the standard 15-kg tin, reflecting a ₹750 increase from the previous ₹11,850 ceiling.

Nandini Table Butter and Fresh Paneer Revision
Table butter prices have also been adjusted higher across retail formats. The 100-gram butter slab now retails at ₹60, up from ₹55, while the 500-gram household block costs ₹275, an increase of ₹20 from ₹255.
Nandini fresh malai paneer has witnessed a parallel bump: the popular 200-gram vacuum pouch has moved from ₹82 to ₹90, and the 1-kg catering block now costs ₹430 compared to ₹395 earlier.
Federation officials noted that steady demand for milk fat during festival sweet preparation across south India necessitated pricing parity with neighbouring states to prevent outward arbitrage.
Multi-Stage Price Escalation and Household Impact
This marks the second revision in milk by-products in recent months. Earlier in the year, KMF adjusted liquid milk prices by ₹2 per packet while adding extra quantity, followed by curd revisions.
The upward adjustment during the Dhanteras and Diwali shopping window is expected to raise confectionery and festive dessert preparation budgets for households, caterers, and commercial bakers.
Despite the price increase, Nandini products continue to retail at an estimated 8% to 15% discount compared to private national dairy brands such as Amul, Mother Dairy, and Britannia in southern retail chains.
