The rates are indicative, not quotes

Every figure on todaybhav is an indicative retail rate gathered from publicly published sources. It is not a quote, not an offer, and not a price at which anyone is obliged to transact with you. What you actually pay will differ.

• Gold and silver: a jeweller adds making charges, 3% GST and a hallmarking fee, and their own rate may differ from the city rate. Our calculator shows how much difference that makes.
• Fuel: prices are set per outlet and revised daily. Individual pumps in the same city can differ, and pumps across a state border usually do.
• LPG: cylinder prices vary by connection type, distributor and delivery charges.

The calculators are estimates

Our gold rate calculator applies making charges as a percentage of the metal value and adds 3% GST. Many jewellers do not price that way: some charge a flat rate per gram, some add wastage separately, and some quote differently for the same design in two branches. Hallmarking is a small fixed fee per piece that we do not add at all.

The fuel cost calculator is only as good as the mileage you give it. Rated mileage is measured under test conditions; real figures run well below that in traffic, with a load, or with the air conditioning on.

Both are estimation helpers. Neither produces a figure anyone is obliged to honour, and we do not guarantee a final bill will match.

We do not forecast rates and we do not publish price targets. Past movement shown in our charts describes what has already happened and says nothing about what will happen next.

Accuracy and timing

We take reasonable care, but figures can be delayed, interrupted or wrong — a source can publish late, publish an error, or stop publishing entirely. Every page shows the date its figures were last refreshed; if that date is not today, treat the numbers as stale. If you find something wrong, please report it.
